Soul Soot Poetry

#poetry, #prose

give me a still life

i’ll give you

seething passion

found in vibrant orange

burning

a tyger sun rising

apples held in the mouth of Eve

blushed red before

the dying

mother

draped in hospital white

waking from her fever dream

to tell you it’s snowing in Narnia

give me a still life

i’ll give you a sea storm broken

frozen like

mountains

the wild heart of autumn

daybreak held

open
